About
Typeset is a Zola theme for writers who appreciate clean typography and academic aesthetics. It draws inspiration from LaTeX, Typst, and the principles of well-typeset documents.
Features
- Tufte-style sidenotes keep supplementary content visible without interrupting reading flow
- KaTeX math rendering for beautiful equations, loaded only when needed
- Academic figure numbering with captions and cross-references
- Responsive design that adapts from desktop to mobile with full-bleed images and code
- Dark mode via system preferences or manual toggle
- Syntax highlighting with Catppuccin themes
Typography
Good typography serves the reader. Typeset uses:
- Crimson Pro for body text, a serif designed for comfortable reading
- EB Garamond for headings, inspired by classic book typography
- JetBrains Mono for code, with ligatures and clear character distinction
- 65-character line width to reduce eye strain
- Generous whitespace to let content breathe
